Manufacturing Process

CaesarStone surfaces meet exacting standards of excellence from the initial procurement of raw materials to the final quality control check. Highly skilled and trained staff members ensure the quality of a product that is unrivalled in the industry today. The manufacturing process begins with a rigorous inspection of all incoming raw materials. These are blended at a ratio of up to 93% natural quartz aggregates with pigments and polymer resins. CaesarStone Quartz Surfaces are manufactured through a highly automated, yet strictly monitored process that includes the following:

Feeding & Mixing
Raw materials are inspected, then fed into mixers and blended together.

Molding
The mixture is then poured into a mold and formed into slab sizes of 306x144 cm

Pressing
The slab is then compacted by a special vacuum and vibration process at a pressure of 100 tons.

Curing
The slabs are moved to the curing kiln and heated to 90ºC for 45 minutes which gives CaesarStone its ultimate strength and solidity.

Polishing
Slabs are then gauged, calibrated and polished to a perfect finish in a wide range of colors and designs in one of our three textural surface finishes: Polished, Honed or Viento.

Quality Assurance
Finally, the slabs pass through quality inspection to ensure our customers receive a top quality product.

Labeling
Each slab is then marked and labelled with all relevant information necessary for the smooth operation of fabrication and logistics.

Advantages

Delivering Uncompromising Performance

CaesarStone quartz surfaces are the ultimate combination of nature and technology. Non-porous, scratch resistant and highly resistant to stains, CaesarStone retains its beauty without sealants or waxes and is almost maintenance-free. Ideal for any interior space, CaesarStone stone surfaces have four times the flexural strength and double the impact resistance of granite while impressively outperforming marble.

CaesarStone is globally recognized for its simplified fabrication and installation processes that enable cost-effective solutions. Due to the material's outstanding durability, CaesarStone can be installed in thinner forms to save weight, or in larger sections to reduce the amount of joints on a surface. This enables even further money-saving features that customers happily applaud.

FAQ

Learn more about CaesarStone quartz surfaces and why they are the ultimate combination of form and function. The questions and answers below show why CaesarStone quartz surfaces are easy to care for, maintain their luster for years, and outperform all other products.

CaesarStone is resistant to cracks, scratches and stains. However, like most materials, excessive force and/or pressure from objects can damage the surface. CaesarStone is resistant to most stains caused by fruit juices, liquid food colouring, coffee, tea, wine, grapes and soft drinks. CaesarStone's non-porous nature provides maximum resistance to staining and fully eliminates the need for any sealing. The non-porous quality of the surface also greatly reduces the potential for bacterial growth.
CaesarStone is structurally more heat resistant in comparison to other stones, including granite. However, any stone material can potentially be damaged by sudden and rapid temperature changes, especially near the edges. Therefore, using inexpensive and readily available hot pads or trivets is always recommended, especially when using cooking units such as electric frying pans, crock pots, or roaster ovens. We do not advise putting hot cookware directly on the CaesarStone surface.
Polished: Due to its high density and non-porous qualities, normal cleaning with a damp cloth and mild detergent will keep your CaesarStone surface looking like the first day it was installed. To avoid dulling the surface's shine, make sure to use a non-abrasive cleaner, and thoroughly rinse off with water after use. We recommend a thorough cleaning of your CaesarStone surface on a regular basis (because of the patina that can develop on the surface from day from cooking, grease oils in the air) to keep the surface as beautiful as the day it was installed. Honed: Please understand that HONED, TEXTURED and MOTIVO finishes will require more daily maintenance than our polished finishes. Since there is more exposed surface area with honed finishes, metal marks, finger prints and other signs of daily living will show on honed material. Most of these marks can be easily removed with little effort and non-abrasive cleaning products such as Soft Scrub Liquid Gel.
CaesarStone quartz surfaces are nonporous and are perfectly suited for kitchen areas, or wherever food is prepared, as they greatly reduce the potential for bacterial growth. CaesarStone surfaces are free of mould and bacteria due to the use of quartz as a key ingredient. Endorsed by the Public Health and Safety Company (NSF) in accordance with international NSF 51 sanitary standards, CaesarStone surfaces are industry approved for installation in hospitals, restaurants, hotels and more.
Use a damp, soft cloth with warm water and soap. If needed, apply non-abrasive, household cleaners (a non-abrasive cleaner will not dull the surface shine). To remove adhered material such as food, gum, nail polish or even dried paint, first scrape away excess material with a plastic knife and then use a damp cloth to remove any marks or residual dirt. For extra-stubborn stains, a 3M non-scratch Scotch-Brite pad is recommended along with a detergent recommended by your local CaesarStone® distributor.
No. CaesarStone quartz surfaces are totally non-porous, and you will never have to use a sealer or any other kind of wax.
Caesarstone can be used in any covered (shaded) exterior space. However, we do not recommend exposing Caesasrtone to UV rays, as it has not been approved for prolonged exposure.
CaesarStone surfaces combine quality and class in a modern kitchen. Being man-made CaesarStone is stronger than granite, it is extremely durable and non-porous it does not require sealing and is resistant to staining
